“From research to innovation in paediatrics”
In this capsule, we will delve into the experiences and trajectories of two researchers who combine research with entrepreneurship in the field of paediatric health.
- Alfonso de Oyarzábal, PhD: researcher on brain metabolism and personalised therapies for paediatric neurological diseases at Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute. Co-founder of Neuroprotect Life Sciences.
- Bàrbara Baro, PhD: researcher on infectious diseases at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health.
Project leader of B-Triage, a new POC test to enhance management of severe infections.
- Moderated by: Sofía Ferreira, Innovation Manager at Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona Children’s Hospital.
After the presentation of the speakers, we will open a 15-minute question and answer session, in which the audience will have the opportunity to share their ideas and opinions on the subject.
