The Pediatric Innovation Challenge, led by i4KIDS in collaboration with AstraZeneca, has been recognised as a finalist in the VIII edition of the SaluDigital Awards. This event, organised annually by Grupo Mediforum, highlights the most innovative initiatives in the field of digital health across both public and private sectors.

The proposal from i4KIDS and AstraZeneca competed in the “Best Private Initiative” category, standing out among more than 100 entries. The challenge, focused on reducing the impact of paediatric influenza and improving vaccination coverage, was praised for its collaborative and technological approach. The winning solution of the challenge, developed by Arkangel AI and unveiled during the #4YFN 2024 Congress, employs artificial intelligence to mitigate the effects of influenza in children.

Recognition in the Digital Health Sector

The SaluDigital Awards, sponsored by Quirónsalud, COFARES, Linde, and Telómera, aim to identify and reward initiatives that enhance quality of life and health through technological innovation. The awards ceremony was held in Madrid, where the value of projects transforming healthcare through innovative digital strategies was celebrated.

Although the i4KIDS and AstraZeneca project did not secure the top prize, its status as a finalist underscores the significance of their collaboration in advancing paediatric health. This recognition places the Pediatric Innovation Challenge as a standout model of how technological innovation can address critical challenges in healthcare.
