The Paediatric Investment Forum, organised by i4KIDS with Montana Children’s Health and Med Angels del CoMB, will be held in Barcelona on 19 November 2025. Europe-based pre-seed/seed start-ups in paediatric or maternal health may apply by 22 September 2025 to pitch to mission-aligned investors.
Paediatric Investment Forum

i4KIDS, in collaboration with Montana Children’s Health (SHIP2B Ventures) and the Med Angels del CoMB Network of the Barcelona Medical Association (CoMB), has announced the first Paediatric Investment Forum, a new European platform connecting early-stage innovators in paediatric and maternal health with mission-aligned investors. The Forum will take place in Barcelona on 19 November 2025, with the collaboration of Tech Barcelona and EIT Health.

Purpose and scope

The Paediatric Investment Forum aims to strengthen Europe’s paediatric and maternal health innovation ecosystem by showcasing high-potential start-ups to specialist investors. From all eligible applications, up to six finalists will be invited to deliver 8–10 minute pitches to members of Med Angels del CoMB, the Montana impact fund, and other venture investors, followed by Q&A.

Who can apply

Applications are open to:

  • Legally incorporated companies (or projects within six months of incorporation).

  • Projects under development in paediatric and/or maternal health.

  • Companies seeking pre-seed or seed investment.

  • Organisations with a registered office in Europe, or a subsidiary HQ in Europe. Projects developed in countries within the EEA, the Council of Europe and the EU, including the UK and Switzerland, are considered eligible.

Key dates

  • Applications open: 21 August 2025

  • Deadline: 22 September 2025, 23:59 CEST

  • Selection period: early October 2025 (shortlisted teams may be contacted for interviews or clarifications)

  • Notifications: first half of October 2025

  • Forum date: 19 November 2025 (Barcelona) — finalists are expected to pitch in person (remote participation only in cases of force majeure).

Selection process

An Evaluation Committee comprising two expert members from the Organisers and one member from a collaborating entity will review all submissions and select the finalists. Applications will be excluded if they are outside paediatrics/maternal health, cause environmental harm, conflict with the Organisers’ corporate purpose or codes of ethics, or are not seeking funding.

How to apply

Candidates must complete the online form and attach the required project documentation, together with the signed legal terms.

CRAASH 2025

Featured

i4KIDS has joined the 8th edition of the CRAASH Barcelona programme, led by Biocat, as a new strategic partner. This collaboration reinforces the commitment to paediatric health innovation by ensuring the inclusion of at least one project in this field. The initiative complements i4KIDS’ recently launched acceleration programme, with both offering distinct yet complementary goals: while i4KIDS supports early-stage projects (TRL 2–4) through tailored valorisation, CRAASH Barcelona focuses on more advanced solutions (TRL 3–6) and their clinical and market validation.
