i4KIDS, the Paediatric Innovation Hub, is launching an exclusive call for four members of the i4KIDS network to participate in an international mission on paediatric and maternal innovation to Helsinki, one of Europe’s leading hubs for paediatric health, taking place from 16 to 19 September 2026. 

The mission aims to strengthen international collaboration by connecting i4KIDS members with key stakeholders within the Finnish paediatric innovation ecosystem. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase innovative paediatric and maternal health projects, gain first-hand insight into leading healthcare institutions, and engage in high-level international forums focused on innovation and investment in paediatrics and maternal health.

17 September 2026 – i4KIDS Mission Day 

Morning:  

  • Presentation of innovative paediatric and maternal health projects 
  • Visit to HUS Children’s Hospital 
  • Meeting with The New Children’s Hospital Foundation 

Afternoon: 2nd Paediatric Investment Forum 

Evening: Networking dinner 

18 September 2026 – Paediatric Innovation Day 2026 

19 September 2026 – Travel Helsinki → Barcelona 

Innovation Program I4KIDS
i4KIDS will cover the main travel-related expenses associated with participation in the mission to Helsinki, including flights, accommodation, airport–hotel transfers in Helsinki, and daily allowances under the conditions detailed below. 

Travel and Accommodation 

  • Flights: Return flights (Barcelona–Helsinki–Barcelona) will be arranged and covered by i4KIDS. 
  • Outbound: 16 September 2026 (morning) 
  • Return: 19 September 2026 (afternoon) 
  • Accommodation: Three nights (16, 17, and 18 September) in Helsinki, including breakfast. 
  • Airport transfers in Helsinki: Included (airport–hotel and hotel–airport). 

 Expenses Not Covered 

The following expenses will not be covered by i4KIDS: 

  • Transfers between the participant’s place of residence and Barcelona Airport (outbound and return) 
  • Breakfast on 16 September 2026 
  • Lunch on 19 September 2026 
  • Any other personal expenses (e.g. minibar, personal purchases, leisure activities, etc.) 

Daily Allowances and Reimbursement Procedure 

Participants will initially cover their own daily expenses (e.g. meals and local transport, where applicable). 

Reimbursement will be processed after the mission, upon submission of: 

  • A completed expense claim form (template will be provided) 
  • Original receipts and proof of payment (card payment receipts required) 

Only duly justified and documented expenses will be reimbursed, in accordance with i4KIDS’ internal policy.
